September 2026
On 15 October 2026, MILO, the teacher education department of Vrije Universiteit Brussel, in collaboration with the iSTEM consortium and within the framework of the Erasmus+ STEMSports Education project, will organise an inspiring professional development day: “STEM CONNECT”.
This inspiring Study Day is designed not only for STEM teachers, but also for teachers of physical education, sport sciences, sport-oriented study programmes, languages, CLIL, economics, and other disciplines who are eager to explore fresh ideas, practical strategies, and ready-to-use resources for delivering impactful STEM and interdisciplinary learning. Discover how STEM can spark innovative projects, authentic learning experiences, engaging CLIL applications, and meaningful collaboration across subjects. Most workshops will be offered in Dutch, while a number of inspiring sessions will be delivered in English by national and international project partners and experienced educators.
STEM is far more than an acronym. It brings together learners, teachers, and education professionals in challenging, authentic, and inspiring learning environments, both inside and beyond the classroom. By connecting science, technology, movement, sport, and sport sciences with language, creativity, and entrepreneurship, STEM creates rich opportunities for learning in both formal and non-formal educational settings.
So don’t come alone. Bring your STEM colleagues and invite fellow teachers from physical education, sport sciences, sport-focused programmes, languages, and other disciplines. Explore new ideas, connect with like-minded educators, discover exciting opportunities for collaboration, and leave with practical tools and inspiration for your own classroom.
Together, we can shape a strong, creative, and future-focused role for STEM in education. Everyone is warmly welcome!
